Following on from the last post we have continued to work on an app for creating images using Delaunay triangulation.
This tool allows you to add both individual nodes or a spread of nodes, and has a number of options to show and hide node points, fills, and lines.
There’s plenty more to be done. Possibilities includes:
- Gradient fills rather than flat fills
- Inbuilt export feature
- Toggle between Delaunay Triangulation and Voronoi Diagrams
Delaunay Triangulation and Voronoi Diagrams are related shape generating algorithms.
Whereas Delaunay triangulation creates an optimal triangular grid, a Voronoi diagram creates polygons where the borders are equidistant between node points.
I guarantee that once you start down this road you will start to see everything in terms of triangles.
